The ASAP Foundation’s primary goal has been to provide scholarships for underserved students to help them succeed in life. We research communities, schools, and programs in Illinois that assist impressionable young students who are at risk academically and environmentally to help them realize their dreams with the fundamental components of a private education. In 2010, Jerry and the ASAP team have worked countlessly to identify a program that works with the mission and vision of the foundation. Currently ASAP sponsors students at LINK Unlimited (Chicago, IL). LINK Unlimited provides educational college preparatory opportunities for economically disadvantaged African American high school youth. In so doing, it integrates mentoring relationships, college readiness and leadership development to foster academic success, personal development and interracial understanding and harmony. The strategic partnership between the ASAP Foundation and LINK Unlimited was established to help academically motivated youth, at the high school level, gain an opportunity to receive a quality private school education. Anthony Pierce, a student at De La Salle with 4.3 GPA, has been one of the first LINK students to receive a scholarship from the ASAP foundation.
